NIFFs would be here, according to the oldest one NASA Scientist



Everyone with even mild and uninterested interest in UFOs is completely desperate for someone who seems right to weigh the matter. Ideally, we want one of the brain geniuses NASA in our corner. We want something in white work with the NASA logo embroidered on the pocket pocket to take us firmly (still warmly) with our hands and say, "At home, you can be right about foreigners.   1. Interstellar trips are impossible or very unlikely
  2. Radio waves continue to be the main form of communication for thousands or millions of years.
  3. Intelligent civilizations would be based on carbon life
  4. We were not and are not visited

A Colombian challenged the first assumption saying we simply do not know enough to rule it:

Clearly distance and energy are insurmountable problems for the technologies we have and ours current understanding of physics. Still we are able to distinguish the possibilities of achieving much greater understanding and control of matter-energy and space-time. Finally, a Colombian says that during the great amount of nonsense in UFO reports and the seemingly improbable of extraterrestrial visitors has kept sciences from the UFO research, it should not:

It seems to me that SETI ignored (at least officially) the possible importance of UFO phenomena for three reasons: 1) the supposition of extremely low likelihood of interest in travel, 2) The very high likelihood of deceit, erroneous perceptions or even psychotic events in phenomena of UFO and 3) Generally avoiding the subject of the scientific community. I think the access to the scientific community, instead, is very similar to what SETI did so far: to find the signal in the noise.

In the great amount of "noise" in UFO reporting, there can be "signals" however small that indicate some phenomena that can not be explained or denied. If we adopt a new set of assumptions about the ways in which we can find higher intelligence and technology, some of these phenomena could fit specific hypotheses, and we could start a serious investigation.
