The refrigerator of Quickfood was sold by the Brazilian company BRF for USD 60 million. Thus, the owner of emblematic brands such as Paty and Viennisima, among others, will be under the umbrella of the company Marfrig, also from Brazil.
Marfring has sold BRFFFood to BRF in 2012. On the other hand, the company that was born in Argentina in 1960 and created the traditional hamburg restaurant, is now returning to the first regional refrigerator that bought it in 2007.
The operation is not a total transfer, since USD 60 million bought 92% of the capital of Quickfood. At present, the company has factories in San Jorge, Arroyo Seco and Baradero. The unit of San Jorge works 620 heads of cattle per day and It processes more than 6,000 tons per month of products: burgers, sausages, cold meats and frozen vegetables under the brands Paty, Vienissima, GoodMark, PatyViena and Green Life.
From Brazil, the signature BRF which plays a central role in the food product market is in a A program with which it is currently signing operations for R $ 822 million in valuable sales. Which leaves a long time to travel until reaching the target of R $ 5,000 million (USD 1,290 million) established in the BRF Operational and Financial Planning Plan. Therefore, the storage does not rule out to remove more assets.
"With this transaction, we take an important step by reducing BRF's debt, according to the plan announced in June," said BRF COO in statement. Lorival Luz.
