A terrifying collision between a western jet truck and an Eastern passenger vehicle on Highway One in North Vancouver on Saturday night cut local traffic for hours.
It happened about 7 pm between the departures of the Lynn Valley Road and Mountain Highway.
The passenger car – Auto-Auto car car – was fired, and several motorists tried to help out the flames and try to save the inhabitants. One of those occupiers believes he has died at the scene.
A third vehicle was also involved in the multi-vehicle crash.
There is not yet a specific word of RCMP about any other possible injury to the other drivers or passengers, or what caused the crash.
RCMP closed Highway One in both directions from Lynn Valley Road to Mountain Highway in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The freeway since then was open at about 1:30 p.m. on Sunday morning.
The collision occurred in an area where there are currently no concrete central divisors, due to the construction of the new transition.
