A man in hospital after a Bridle Path shooting


Police are investigating a shooting outside a mansion in an exclusive Toronto neighborhood that sent a man to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Afterus after 6 p.m., shots were fired at 37 The Bridle Path, near Bayview Ave. south of York Mills Blvd.

Once, emergency crews found a man on the ground outside with gunshot wounds to his upper body, said Katrina Arrogante of Toronto police.

"It was believed that the incident happened somewhere outside," she said.

The victim was rushed to a hospital in critical condition, but has since stabilized.

No suspicious descriptions are available at press time.

Detectives and medical teams spent the day interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence at the mansion, with discarded liquor and beer bottles carrying evidence of the celebrations before the shooting.
