Alberta Health Services confirmed case of Hepatitis A in Nanton in an individual who, while infected the illness, was involved in eating.
AHS asks anyone who may have eaten at the Auditorium Hotel restaurant on Friday, January 11 and the following Friday, January 18, or was prevented from J.T. Foster School on Thursday, January 17, to call Health Link, (811) for a rating of exposure and risk.
These individuals will receive information on planned immunization clinics, as necessary.
Including hepatitis A can be provided within 14 days after exposure and often prevent illness from occurring.
AHS says there is no continuing risk of infection associated with the restaurant, which has been cleaned, inspected and approved safely.
For those who ate at J.T. Foster AHS says, these individuals are directly contacted by AHS Public Health throughout the school, and immunization clinics are carried out.
Anyone who believes that they may have been exposed, advises to monitor symptoms of Hepatitis A until at least Friday March 8 when a disease can occur 15 to 50 days after an exhibition.

Symptoms of hepatitis A can include: tiredness; poor appetite; nausea and vomiting; Painful and abdominal fever; followed by dark colored urine, dark colors, and yellow eyes and skin several days later. "As a precaution, anyone who consumed food at the Audience Hotel on January 11 and 18 or a bannock at JT Foster School on January 17 is advised to monitor himself and his family for symptoms for 50 days after their last exposure. Hepatitis A is an infection of the liver caused by a virus. Spreading through the fever-oral route, individuals mainly contract liver A by direct contact with an infected person; however individuals can also indirectly contract the disease by means of an intake of contaminated food or water.
