The world stock markets plunged on Monday following trade tensions between the United States and China, the fall in the Chinese currency and a strong dollar, which mainly affects emerging markets.
The Dow Jones, loses at 9:25 am Bogota time, 2.04%, the S&P 2.11%, while Nasdaq technology makes 2.65%.
In Europe the situation is no different, the London market is down 2.45%, the Frankfurt market 1.66% and the Paris market 2.05%.
In Asia, stock markets closed on the first day of the week with heavy losses. Japan's stock market closed with losses of 1.74%, Hong Kong 2.85%, Seoul 2.56% and Shanghai 1.62%.
In Latin America the picture is no different, the Colombian stock market is down 2.15%.
