Samsung announced this year that it is partnering with AMD and plans to use its new RDNA graphics architecture in its future installations in the future. Now Samsung has specified when and where we will see this new solution.
The new Samsung solution will be used in the next generation of Exynos chips to replace the previous generation, where it relied on Qualcomm's graphics solution to date. The chip is in development and Samsung has revealed that we will see the first device with this chip in 2021.
Samsung expects this solution to improve graphics performance and competitiveness, and AMD is an opportunity to enter the mobile segment. The agreement between the two companies was finalized several years in advance, with Samsung going to pay royalties to AMD.
