WhatsApp developers are adding many new features to the app, the most important of which was announced in February this year, the fingerprint feature.
According to the "Android-centric" tech site, WhatsApp has already introduced the "Fingerprint lock" security feature for iOS users, and after several months the feature finally became available to users of the trial version of the "Android" operating system.
A fingerprint lock is an added security feature for WhatsApp and allows Android users to use the fingerprint sensor to unlock WhatsApp.
The new feature allows Android users to respond to messages or incoming calls through the notification list even if the application is closed, similar to an authentication feature of the "iOS" operating system.
To test the "Fingerprint lock", you must download the latest version of WhatsApp (2.19.221), and you must see this key option in the Privacy tab of the settings.
