Investor sentiment in the eurozone is low
A survey by the Sentex research group showed that investment sentiment in the eurozone deteriorated in August to its lowest level since October 2014, warning that Germany would fall into recession.
The group said its rate of investment sentiment in the eurozone dropped from 5.8 in July to 13.7 in August, down sharply from analysts' expectations for reading at 7.7.
European Central Bank President Mario Draghi pledged in July 2012 to "do whatever it takes" to protect the euro and attributed to him the widely shared promise of European bloc cohesion.
