Epic Games may face serious litigation after security breaches allowed hackers to steal the personal information of Fortnite users.
Franklin D. Azar has filed a lawsuit in the North Carolina District Court for failure to maintain appropriate security measures and failure to notify users in a timely manner about security breaches.
In January, Epic Games acknowledged there was an error that could affect millions of user accounts, and immediately leaked their personal information. The bug was then fixed, however the quiz did not decrease are still waiting to see if they will be prosecuted.
