TD describes the direct provision as "legal human trafficking"

Direct teaching has been described as "Trafficking People Laws" by Fianna Fáil TD Yogi Murphy.

Speaking of Dáil today, Deputy Murphy said the practice should finish.

This is after two hotels in the city of Wicklow and Roosekey in Roscommon were selected by the Department of Justice to open up as direct supply centers as other centers are in full capacity.

Mr. Murphy says this type of accommodation for asylum seekers is unacceptable.

"There is a veil of secrecy around how this matter is treated and not good enough for it," said Taoiseach Leo Varadkar.

"We have to finish the direct order, it's just not the way to do it.

"Shepherding people to hotels, what is happening now in Wicklow and what is happening in Ruski.

"Actually, I treat it as a legal trade for people, that's what it is."
