KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Azmin Ali said that Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, head of the information of PKR, is not a hypocrite.
"Do not be a hypocrite," said PKR's vice president Tuesday (July 16) in parliament before leaving off reporters.
This responds to Shamsul's statement that political leaders and government officials who have been involved in suspected crimes should go away.
Azmin, who is an Economic Examiner, has been involved in a sexual video with former Santubong PKR Junilestro Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz.
On Sunday (July 14), Haziq and five other individuals were arrested by police in several locations across the Klang valley to assist in investigations under section 233 of the 1998 Media and Media Act.
They were retained for six days until July 20. Two of them are members of PKR.
On July 13, Chief Inspector of Police Officer Seri Abdul Hamid Bador said the police closed to the "alliance" behind the scandal of sexual video.
Haziq was first arrested in KLIA on June 14, and the police set up a special task set by Comm Huzir Mohamed to investigate the matter three days later.
Before that, Haziq confessed to be one of the two men involved in sexual actions in the video, and claimed that the other was Azmin.
However, Azmin categorically denied this.
