Xiaomi has launched the Mi Gaming Laptop 2019 – an update over the company's original video game, which was unveiled back in March of last year. The new model sports a full HD display with 144Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi also offered a nine-generation Intel Core i7 processor on the Mi Gaming Laptop 2019 along with a brand new "Quick Cooling" thermal management system. The Mi Gaming Laptop 2019 has a Dolby surround sound in addition to a Hi-Res Audio certified audio system. Plus, players can enjoy playing their favorite games with the four-part backlit keyboard.
Design-wise, the Mi Gaming Laptop 2019 looks identical to the original Mi Gaming Laptop that was unveiled last year. There are hot ports on both sides along with a set of ports that include four USB 3.0, full-size HDMI 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, and a 3.5mm headset as well as microphone connectors. The machine also has a three-in-one card reader that supports SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards.
Under the hood, the Windows 10-based Mi Gaming Laptop 2019 features the ninth-generation Intel Core i7-9750H and Core i5-9300H processors along with up to 12MB cache and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 graphics. There are also 16GB and 8GB DDR4 2666MHz RAM options, along with a 512GB PCIe SSD. The notebook also features the Intel 2×2 dual-antenna Wi-Fi, which supports 802.11ac network and Bluetooth v5.0 connectivity.
Xiaomi provided a 15.6-inch full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) anti-glare display on the new Mi Gaming Laptop. The screen has 142ppi pixel density, 72 percent NTSC color range, 178 degrees of wide-angle view, and 300 nits of brightness. There is also the 144Hz refresh rate and 9.9mm thick bezels.
On top of the screen, the Mi Gaming Laptop 2019 has a web camera that enables HD-enabled calling, and is equipped with a digital array of microphones. Players have also been provided with two 3W speakers that support Dolby surround sound technology and Hi-Res Audio standard.
Xiaomi has provided its in-house thermal management system on the new Mi Gaming Laptop model, which is being offered to increase its cooling efficiency by 60 percent. The company claims to have used a 3 + 2 large-diameter heat pipe along with S-shaped turbine metal blades and a 12v drive motor to release heat quickly.
To type, the Mi Gaming Laptop 2019 has the four-part backlit keyboard with a 1.8mm keyboard. The keyboard includes five programmable buttons and has a 30-key anti-collision design. Additionally, there is a glass touch pad that supports multi-finger gestures – supported by Microsoft PTP keyboard technology.

The notebook packs a 55Wh battery, which is claimed to deliver 4.5 hours of video playback or web browsing at a single charge. Lastly, I Gaming Laptop 2019 measures 364×265.2×20.9mm and weighs 2.6 kilograms.
Xiaomi initially grabbed pre-orders for the 2019 Mi Gaming Laptop in China. It carries a starting price of CNY 7,499 (about Rs. 75,100).
