German software maker SAP is taking over American Qualtrics for 7.1 billion euros. That's what SAP recognized in the statement on Sunday night.
The acquisition will be completed in the first half of 2019, SAP reports.
Coletrix was about to enter the stock market. The company develops software for satisfaction surveys.
"The merger of our companies ensures that we can respond best to the best experience for our customers," SAP CEO Bill McDermott said in a statement.
The owners and founders of Qualtrics, the Smith family, are becoming a direct billionaire through the acquisition, the magazine reports Forbes. The family owns 45% of the shares and holds around € 2.6 billion in sales.
