Andy Murray, a former world tennis player, announces that there will not be a single game for him during the US Open, which begins in a few weeks, reports atptour.com.
"I feel it would be better to play a few games before making that decision," said Murray, who had to decide on a wild card for the U.S. Open.
– It will take a while, and I haven't trained as much in singles until recently. So I need time, and the game won't be back in a week or a tournament, Murray says.
On Monday, local time, Murray made his first singles match in seven months during the ATP tournament in Cincinnati, Ohio. But the 324th-ranked Briton fell to two straight sets (4-6, 4-6) against Frenchman Richard Gasquet.
