Dubai Customs has used a new attempt to smuggle narcotics into the country. A joint team of the Customs Intelligence Department and Jebel Ali Customs Center managed to seize 251.2 kg of crystal, the largest amount seized in the center, in addition to the shipment containing 6.4 kg of heroin. At 258 kg of narcotics estimated a market value of 25 million dirham hidden in used car substitutes.
The smugglers attempted to cross them through Jebel Ali port and were confronted by customs inspectors at the Dubai Customs in an operation called "Delivery."
Yousef Al Hashemi, Director of the Department of Customs Centers Jebel Ali, said that the department's efforts are integrated into illicit attempts to smuggle and take narcotics to protect society from its dangers and damages.
Shoaib Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director of the Customs Information Department, said that Dubai Customs had succeeded in making Dubai's customs ports into an impenetrable dam ahead of all smuggling attempts to harm the safety and health of the community.
