Al-Sadd defeats Al-Duhail and reaches the quarter-finals and succeeds on a date with Al-Nasr
Qatar Al Sadd qualified for the quarter-finals after beating compatriot Al Duhail 3-1 on Tuesday at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in Doha, in the second leg of the 16th round of the 2019 AFC Champions League.
Akram Afif (20), Abdulkarim Hassan (34) and Duhail player Ahmed Yasser (90 + 1 wrong in his team's goal) scored Al Sadd goals, while Admilson Gunwer (56) scored the only goal for Aldhail.
Al Duhail completed the match with 10 men after Mohamed Muntari was dismissed in the first minute of stoppage time after failing on Boualem Khoukhi.
The first leg between the two teams last Tuesday ended with a 1-1 draw at the South Stadium in Doha, where Al Sadd qualified for the quarter-finals after being 4-2 overall.
Al Sadd qualified to face Saudi club Al Nasr, who beat Al Wahda of UAE 4-3 on aggregate.
