The first Bounty King was released in 1990, it was released by New World Computing. The game became the forerunner of the famous "Heroes of Magic and Magic." Subsequently, home company 1C revived the series – in 2007 it released the game King's Bounty: Legend of the Knight, which was developed by Katauri Interactive, creators of the space Rangers dilemma. After that, the game received several large-scale additions.
